Marie and Bob’s middle name starts with an “S” (he would KILL me if I posted it!)

How long have you been together?
13 1/2 years. Married for 10 (Our wedding was in October of 1998)

How long did you know each other before you started dating?
We were set up on a blind date. However, before the “date”, we talked on the phone, every day, for 2 weeks

Who asked whom out?
His friends set us up on a blind date. So I guess he gets the credit

How old are each of you?
I am 37 and he is 38.

Whose siblings do you see the most?
Mine

Which situation is the hardest on you as a couple?
definately parenthood. Especially since our childhoods were completely different. Even though we are out of the “baby” stages, it is still hard helping our kids navigate through school, activities and friendships.

Did you go to the same school?
Nope. I went to BGSU and Bob attended Ohio University

Are you from the same home town?
No. However, we now live very close to the town where Bob graduated from high school

Who is smarter?
I think I am “smarter” in an academic sense, but Bob is brilliant with finances and has much better spatial awareness than I have. I think together we are unstoppable!

Who is the most sensitive?
Depends, but ususally it is me

Where do you eat out most as a couple?
This is hard since we have 2 young kids. However, as a couple, we usually like seafood restuarants.

Where is the furthest you two have traveled together as a couple?
It is a tie between the Caribbean (honeymoon) and Salt Spring Island, BC for Kate and Mark’s wedding

Who has the craziest exes?
Bob (hands down!!)

Who has the worst temper?
We both have short fuses, but we also know how to handle each other when we blow up.

Who does the cooking?
Me. Bob knows how to make 3 things: Mac and Cheese (from a box), sandwiches and he can grill well.

Who is the neat-freak?
Bob likes things neat (no clutter) but apparently filth doesn’t bother him. I hate dirt, dust etc., but I have clutter everywhere. So I guess neither of us is a “neat-freak”

Who is more stubborn?
Depends on the situation /issue. However, our son is the most stubborn of all

Who hogs the bed?
Bob. Drives. Me. CRAZY.

Who wakes up earlier?
Me. Even if I get the opportunity to sleep in, I just can’t sleep past 8:00 am anymore. Ugh!

Where was your first date?
A restuarant called High Marks in Piqua, Oh. It is a restaurant with a “school” theme. Bob took me there since I was a teacher. He also brought a gift for me (my birthday was 2 days before our date) After dinner, we went to a movie. It was a great date-no weird akwardness at all. However, when he brought me home, he kissed me on the forehead! I was all WTF??!! But, he asked me out again, so it all worked out.

Who is more jealous?
Depends on the situation, but we’ve both had our share of jealousy.

How long did it take to get serious?
We were serious right away. We even took a vacation together during the first year we dated. However, he waited for 3 years to propose.

Who eats more?
I think we are pretty equal on this front.

Who does the laundry?
Both of us. But Bob thinks he is the laundry God.

Who’s better with the computer?
Me, by far.
